A Note to Barack Obama
Below is a note I sent to Senator Barack Obama regarding his recent vote on the FISA bill that I wrote about a couple of days ago:
Senator Obama,
Your vote on the FISA bill, specifically regarding immunity for telecommunications companies in their quest to avoid responsibility in the handing over of millions of American’s data to the federal government, does not reflect kindly on you. In fact, it seems like you are bending over to the special interests and attempting to look strong on national defense.BUT, if anyone can make an argument that the this bill is ridiculous, it is you. That you did not do so is appalling and makes me want to vote for a 3rd party the upcoming election. If you will not stand up for our privacy and protect our private information from unreasonable government searches, I will vote for someone who will.
It’s too early to say for sure, but Nader is looking better and better…
